What especially sells the combat for me is simply the enchanting and spellmaking tables, which just adds sooo much to the mages, allowing wayyy more creativity to being a mage when compared to skyrim. What oblivion does have however is plenty of wonderful monsters to kill, and some pretty good armors to collect. Now this is something that is kinda wack imo, as combat in itself isn't the greatest, and is especially not the prettiest when compared to skyrim. But even with all of that, the game is still amazing in my eyes. Something about the game just clicks for me, even with all of its (very glaring) flaws, from the faces (god they are ugly LOL), to the jankiness, to the MAJOR bugs and issues that plague the game without mods. Oblivion will always hold a special place in my heart personally, as it was not only the game I played as a child, but is also still my favorite elder scrolls game.
